Information we collect
VBScore does not require account creation and does not collect personal profile information. The app may store the following locally on your device:
- Current left and right scores
- Side-swap state
- Score history entries when you reset a game
- Broadcast settings related to live spectator viewing
How data is used
Stored score data is used only to power app features like live scoring, score history, broadcasting, and syncing between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch.
Data sharing
VBScore does not sell your personal data. The app does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not share your score data with external marketing providers.
Device-to-device sync
If you use VBScore on iPhone and Apple Watch, score state can be transferred between paired devices using Apple-provided connectivity services.
Live broadcasting
If you choose to broadcast a live score, VBScore may temporarily publish score data and related match details to support spectator viewing on the web. Broadcasts are short-lived and are cleaned up automatically after they expire.
YouTube live streaming
VBScore offers an optional feature to broadcast your game live on YouTube. To use this feature, you must sign in with your Google account. VBScore requests access to your YouTube account solely to:
- Retrieve your YouTube live stream key
- Create and manage a YouTube Live broadcast
- Upload a thumbnail image for the broadcast
- End the broadcast when you stop streaming
VBScore does not access, read, or modify your YouTube videos, playlists, subscriptions, comments, or any other YouTube data beyond what is required to create and manage a live broadcast session.
Your Google OAuth tokens are stored locally on your device only and are never transmitted to VBScore's servers. VBScore does not share your Google account data with any third parties.
You can revoke VBScore's access to your YouTube account at any time by visiting myaccount.google.com/permissions.
VBScore's use of YouTube API Services is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. By signing in and using VBScore's YouTube live-streaming features, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
VBScore's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Signing out of YouTube within VBScore deletes the stored Google OAuth tokens from your device.
Data retention and deletion
You can reset scores and delete score history within the app. Removing the app from your devices will remove app-local data according to your device and iCloud backup settings.
Children's privacy
VBScore is a general-purpose sports utility and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised last-updated date.
